Sambhal (formerly Budaun) Alumni Welfare Association of Navodaya (SAWAN)
Our Goals
To establish and operate this organization of alumni of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rasoolpur, District
Sambhal (earlier District Badaun).
To organize the alumni of the school and promote activities that ensure the success of the school and
the students currently studying there.
To work on plans for providing assistance, as far as possible, to alumni and their families.
To provide free education or arrange scholarships, as far as possible, for poor, orphaned,
differently-abled, and meritorious students of the school.
To make students aware of various career options and to provide the necessary guidance and support to
help them choose those options.
To assist the school in completing inadequate basic infrastructure available on the campus or to help in
providing new basic facilities within the campus.
To provide career/employment-related information to students graduating from the school or to arrange
scholarships as far as possible.
To organize various competitions in the school to promote competitiveness, sportsmanship, and a sense of
cleanliness.
To make the school campus greener, cleaner, and more pleasant through plantation drives.
To organize alumni at different locations (Alumni Chapters) and promote brotherhood, unity, and mutual
coordination among them.
To provide assistance, as far as possible, through the organization in case of any emergency situation
arising among alumni or their families (such as the need for blood).
In the unfortunate event of the death of an alumnus due to a serious illness or martyrdom while on duty,
to provide all possible support to the family, and to appeal to all associated members of the
organization for financial assistance or help in the education/employment of dependent children or the
spouse.
